Posting Not Appearing in SUN

Reported Error:
“We post some transaction in sun today for the account code C600090, the transactions are appearing in SUN Vision but it’s not appearing in SUN please advice.”

Solution:

Investigated and found that the Journal entries are coming in Vision and are not coming in Sun in Account Allocation. Whereas the Journal Listing in Sun is showing the transaction posted.The third level support had connected to the site and had update the data values from the database.

They Use enterprise manager in SQL server and went to the table and looked for the JV causing this issue in the table SALFLDGMHY, the last 3 digit MHY is the database code.Thus they search for the effected JV using the following command from SQL SELECT * FROM SALFLDGMHY WHERE JRNAL_NO ='14513'. Here the Journal number should be replaced with the JV number we are looking to correct.

Thus the Account code was corrected to reflect the correct account number, the account code was having a lover c, whereas the correct account code was capital "C", also there was a space after the account number, this extra blank space was removed and the record was saved.

Thus the issue was resolved.
